Enroll Managed Endpoints

WebWorkstation

Use an enrollment token to add a device to ZynoRMM. You need ZynoRMM manager access to create tokens and manage the initial organization or tag assignment.

Before you begin

  • Confirm that the device should be managed by your organization and that the person responsible for it has approved the installation.
  • Decide which organization should apply when the device first appears in ZynoRMM.
  • Use an approved ZynoRMM agent installer or deployment process. Do not share an enrollment token in a public chat, ticket, or other broadly visible location.

Create an enrollment token

  1. Open ZynoRMM > Settings > Enrollment Tokens.
  2. Create a token and give it a recognizable label.
  3. Set an optional expiration when the deployment needs one.
  4. Optionally assign an organization.
  5. Copy the token only through your approved deployment channel.

The token supplies the initial enrollment scope. After a device has enrolled, its access is governed by its managed endpoint identity and the technicians who are allowed to operate it.

Install and confirm the agent

Install the approved agent package on the endpoint and provide the enrollment token as part of that process. When enrollment succeeds, the device appears in ZynoRMM > Endpoints with an online/offline state and Last Seen time.

Open the endpoint's Summary tab to verify the identity, operating system, organization, tags, and agent status before starting remote work. If the device is expected to appear under a managed organization, make sure you have selected that organization in the endpoints console.

Keep endpoint identity intact

An enrolled device has a stable managed identity. Do not reset or reinstall an agent just to correct a tag, organization, or temporary connection problem: that can create a different endpoint record and separate it from its history and audit trail.

Use the appropriate settings or endpoint-management action for metadata changes. If the agent identity is genuinely lost or the endpoint is being retired, follow your organization's recovery or offboarding process before enrolling a replacement.

Common issues

ProblemWhat to check
The token is rejectedCheck that it has not expired or been copied with missing characters. Create a replacement token if needed.
The endpoint never appearsConfirm the agent installation completed and that the endpoint can reach its configured ZynoRMM service.
The endpoint is visible but you cannot open itCheck that it is assigned to an organization you can access and that your technician enrollment is active.
The endpoint appears twiceStop and identify which agent installation or reset created the second record before continuing remote work.
