zyno.id Keytags
WebWorkstationMobileA zyno.id Keytag is a unique physical identifier for one contact—typically a keychain or other printed barcode you hand to members. The main use case is simple: the member scans their own Keytag, and staff can immediately open that contact's profile for check-in and related front-desk work.
Not a contact tag
A zyno.id Keytag is not a CRM contact tag. Contact tags are shared labels (for example VIP) used to group and filter many contacts. A zyno.id Keytag belongs to one person or company and is meant for scanning. See Contact Tags.
Order keychain tags

Add a zyno.id Keytag # to a contact
- Open the contact profile.
- Open the contact editor.
- Enter the value in zyno.id Keytag #.
- Select Save.
On ZynoWorkstation, use the barcode button next to the field to scan the tag instead of typing it. Each tag number should map to only one contact.
You can also set the field when creating a contact.
Members scan to open a profile
With a barcode reader on ZynoWorkstation, members present and scan their own zyno.id Keytag. ZynoSuite looks up the matching contact so staff can pull up the profile quickly—especially for check-in.
You can also look up a Keytag without waiting for a member scan:
- Type or paste the value into Search on Customers & Contacts.
- Enter the tag in Advanced > zyno.id Keytag #.
- On ZynoWorkstation, select Scan zyno.id Keytag # in the Customers & Contacts toolbar.
Scanned values can include a zyno.id URL. ZynoSuite strips the URL prefix and dashes before searching.
If no contact is found, confirm the tag number is saved on the correct profile. Check-in arrivals also show in the sidebar dock for the station's location—see How Check-Ins Work and Check-In Notifications.
Where the tag appears
When a contact has a zyno.id Keytag #, it appears in the contact profile header and Contact Info section.
Merging contacts
If both contacts have a zyno.id Keytag #, the survivor keeps its tag and the duplicate's tag is detached. ZynoSuite warns you before the merge. See Merging Contacts.
