Set Up ZynoSales

WebWorkstation

Use this checklist the first time you enable point of sale for a location, or when you add a new station. Complete earlier steps before later ones so terminals, taxes, and layouts resolve correctly at the register.

Admin Access required

You need admin access to open these Admin pages. Regular Salespoint users do not configure payments or Stripe.

1. locations and workstations

1. Create or confirm each physical site in Locations.
2. Register shared front-desk and POS machines in Workstations.
3. Set an appropriate idle timeout on shared stations so unattended registers return to sign-in.

2. card processing

1. Connect Stripe in Stripe Account.
2. Register in-person terminals in Card Terminals.
3. On each Workstation, complete hardware assignment for the terminal—see Payment Terminals.
4. For mobile checkout, pair a reader in Mobile Card Reader.

3. tender types and accounting

1. Enable the methods staff should see in Payment Methods (cash, card, check, gift card, custom methods).
2. Map methods to Financial Accounts for reporting and closeouts.
3. Configure Automatic Tax if your organization collects tax automatically.

4. catalog and register layout

1. Create product groups in Categories.
2. Define reusable option groups in Modifier Sets.
3. Build products in ZynoSales: Creating Products and Modifiers.
4. Design button layouts in Salespoint Layouts and assign them to locations or workstations.
5. Create reusable Discounts & Promo Codes if cashiers apply templates at the register.

Enable only what your operation uses:

6. people and permissions

1. Confirm Salespoint and ZynoSales options on each Role—see Permissions Reference.
2. Assign roles on Users.
3. Train staff with Your First Day → Cashier and Using Salespoint.

7. smoke test

1. Sign in as a non-admin cashier on the target device (Web, Workstation, or Mobile as appropriate).
2. Open ZynoSales > Salespoint.
3. Add a product, attach a customer if required, and process a low-value or test payment for each tender you enabled.
4. Confirm receipt print/email options and cash session open/close on Workstation if used.

Common issues

Problem	What to check
Card terminal option missing	Workstation install, Stripe connection, terminal registration, and workstation hardware assignment
Payment method missing at checkout	Payment Methods enabled for the organization
Layout or categories look wrong	Layout assignment and Categories for that location
Tax amounts unexpected	Automatic Tax and product tax settings
Cashier cannot open Salespoint	Role Salespoint option (Workstation-only vs any device)
